Cherokee Heights Elementary is a West Side School of Excellence.  We serve students in Pre-Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.  We offer a Spanish Bilingual Program option in grades K-2.

The last day of school for students is Tuesday, June 9, 2009.

School Features:
  • The school has an indoor pool where students can take American Red Cross swimming classes.

  • School uniforms create a respectful and orderly school climate.
  • The school's Responsive Classroom program helps students and staff work together to build positive behaviors within the classrooms, school and school community.
  • The school has a fully-equipped technology production studio in which students produce a live daily news show and classes create original studio productions.
  • After-school programs offered by the Area Learning Center (ALC) extend learning time and build social skills.
  • Students can get one-on-one help in reading and math from tutors through various volunteer organizations.
  • Band and violin lessons are available to give students an early start on learning to play an instrument.
