Welcome to Cherokee Heights 3rd Grade! I am excited about the move to
third grade after a year of teaching second grade and eight years of fourth grade. We have many fun learning activities planned for the year. If you need to contact me

9:25-10:45 Reading/Vocab work
10:45-11:15 Lunch/Recess
11:20-12:45 Math
12:45-1:00 Read Aloud/Snack
1:05-1:55 Specialist (swimming, culture, science)
2:00-2:20 Independent Reading
2:35 Dismissal
*We
work with the Reader's and Writer's Workshop model at Cherokee!
Students in second grade will be bringing homework home daily and are
expected to read 15 minutes nightly!
*We are a responsive classroom school. We begin every day with a morning meeting and offer academic choices throughout the day.
*Field
trips this year include: Rainbow Foods, (community study) Children's
Museum of Minnesota, Ordway Theatre, Mill City Museum of Minneapolis,
and the Minnesota Zoo.
*Library Day is Tuesday!
