West Side School of Excellence |  | Cherokee Heights Elementary is a great school on Saint Paul's West Side. We serve students in Pre-Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. We offer a Spanish Bilingual Program option in grades K-2.

- The school has a fully-equipped technology production studio in which students produce a live daily news show and classes create original studio productions.
- After-school programs offered by the Area Learning Center (ALC) extend learning time and build social skills.
- Students can get one-on-one help in reading and math from tutors through various volunteer organizations.
- Band and violin lessons are available to give students an early start on learning to play an instrument.
